Established in 1938, the College of Forestry currently employs 143 staff members, including 35 professors and 51 associate professors, and enrolls 2,894 full-time students, comprising 59 doctoral candidates, 856 postgraduates, and 1,979 undergraduates.
The College offers 6 undergraduate programs: Forestry, Forest Protection, Plant Protection, Wildlife and Nature Reserve Management, Smart Forestry, and Economic Forestry. At the graduate level, it provides 8 master’s programs spanning Forestry,Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, Silviculture, Forest Protection, Forest Management, Wildlife Conservation and Utilization,Agriculture, and an additional specialized Forestry track, along with 1 doctoral program in Forestry.
The College hosts 6 provincial and ministerial research platforms and has cultivated strong research expertise in key areas such as biodiversity conservation, nature reserve management, economic forest cultivation, bamboo studies, and vegetation restoration in arid river valleys.
